We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our youth soccer club programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for youth development, strong leadership skills, and a background in sports management or related fields. SUPERVISES:  Part-Time Mikro Program, Camp and Clinic Coaches

Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club is a thriving community-based organization dedicated to fostering the growth and development of young athletes through the sport of soccer. We offer comprehensive programs that focus on skill-building, teamwork, and personal growth, providing a positive and supportive environment for players of all levels. We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our youth soccer club programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for youth development, strong leadership skills, and a background in sports management or related fields. The Program Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the success and growth of our programs, working closely with coaches, staff, parents, and players to create an exceptional experience for all involved.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Program Development:
    • Collaborate with club leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for program growth and enhancement.
    • Identify opportunities for new program offerings and initiatives to meet the needs of our players and community.
    • Ensure program offerings align with club objectives, player development pathways, and industry best practices.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of youth soccer programs, including scheduling, facility management, and equipment procurement.
    • Coordinate with coaching staff to ensure effective communication and execution of program activities.
    • Manage program budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities where possible.
  • Player and Parent Engagement:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for players, parents, and guardians, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
    • Organize player evaluations, team placements, and registration processes in coordination with club administrators.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive club culture that promotes sportsmanship, respect, and personal growth among players and families.
  • Staff Development and Training:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise program staff, including coaches, trainers, and volunteers.
    • Provide ongoing support, feedback, and professional development opportunities to enhance staff performance and effectiveness.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Community Outreach and Partnerships:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote youth soccer participation and awareness.
    • Coordinate outreach events, clinics, and promotional activities to attract new players and engage with the broader community.
    • Seek opportunities for collaboration and partnership to enhance program offerings and resources for our players.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in sports management, recreation, education, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, preferably in youth sports or recreation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience in supervising staff and volunteers preferred.
  • Knowledge of youth soccer development principles, coaching methodologies, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work independently and relatively unsupervised on multiple projects and assignments
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to work some weekends and nights, particularly during special events and tournaments
